The story starts in 1950 when the first owner Mr. Francis John Bancroft purchased this MGTC in 1950 on the 8th of April. Date of original registration 19th November 1949, KOC 579, with matching numbers. This MGTC is on the T register chassis number TC10040. In 1964 Mr. Stieglis bought the car and imported the car to Holland. In 1974 Mr. Stieglis asked the Naylor Brothers to do full nut and bolt restoration. The MGTC was ready in 1978 and came back to Holland. Mr Stieglis only did 2700 miles, because in 1990 he sadly passed away. The MGTC was garaged until 2007 in a conditioned garage. In 2007 the MGTC went for a MOT because it seems to be that all the brakes has to be renewed. After 29 years doing nothing quite normal I think. So they went to a MG Garage to fix this problem and they renewed the engine and gear oil. After the MOT the MGTC was garaged again until 2014. When I was asked to have a look at the MGTC I was surprised by the quality and superb job the Naylor Brothers did on the MGTC. The MG is in a outstanding condition. So I bought the car and the problem I had were the brakes of course! So I renewed the brakes again and replaced the master break cylinder for a new one from C&C parts in Holland. This is better product than the original ones. The only thing I had to do is to adjust the master break cylinder heath shield a little bit. The only not original parts are the horns and the fog lights. The two horns seems to be on the car before the restoration(1964). There were also two fog lights, one I still have this one has a broken glass. That’s the reason they use these yellow ones. I have a picture from 1964 with these parts. So probably someone in England add these accessories. Not really my cup of tea, but it’s easy to swop with the original parts. With the car comes all the documents you can think of like the logbook, invoices from the Naylor Brothers. Things like the original jack, hammer, very rare radiator muff, tonneau cover and the complete weather gear are with car of course. I also found a 1940 one person bleeding kit!
