Seller's comments about 1971' Aston Martin DBS

- Very rare! Only 40 vehicles with LHD and manual transmission- Matching colors and numbers.- Very good driving characteristics and well-documented history.Description:
The Aston Martin DBS came onto the market in 1967 and was the successor to the DB6. Right from the start, the DBS, which now broke with the tradition of the DB series, was to be delivered with a newly developed eight-cylinder engine. However, the engine was not ready for series production at the start of production and so it was decided to continue using the proven six-cylinder from the DB6. In 1969 the longed-for DBS V8 finally arrived. Today it is one of the rarest Aston Martin models and is therefore a sought-after collector's vehicle. Initially, Touring from Milan, which had previously designed the DB4, DB5 and DB6, was supposed to be responsible for the design of the new Aston Martin. However, the two prototypes did not convince company boss David Brown at all and so the in-house designer William Towns was left to design the DBS. A good decision, because the DBS and its similar successor, the V8, were the most successful cars in the company's history.
From 1969 to 1972 only 402 examples were produced. Only 40 of them are LHD with manual transmission.
This DBS V8 was delivered to Paris in April 1971 in this color configuration. So it's a real LHD with a 5-speed manual transmission! The car was extensively restored in Germany.
Matching Numbers and Colors!
Very well documented.
With new TÜV and H license plate, can be used immediately!
VAT whiteable.
