Seller's comments about 1973' BMW 2002

Desired and quite rare BMW TII 2002 from 1973. Tii has a mechanical fuel injection that was introduced to meet the tightened American recipes for exhaust emissions from the early 1970s. This is a great element of equipment that was used in racing cars of that time, but with other timing rollers to adapt them to road driving. The engine is a simple, four -cylinder engine with a capacity of 2 liters. The car was imported in 2007. As an American car, it had additional lights on all four fenders, which in my opinion spoil clean lines and design. They were removed and the holes were blinded. Then the engine was removed and demolished to check its condition. It turned out to be really good, so we just cleaned it and replaced the seals. There was only a bit of rust under the front bumper, which was repaired, and the whole car was painted, again in the original Chamonix White color. I have full photo documentation of these works. In the 70s there were not many additions to these cars. This one has quite rare aluminum rims. Tires are Michelin XAS from the era, size 165hr13. They look narrow to contemporary standards, but the ride is great, and the tread and sides are from the era, so they look good. In classic cars, tires with a lower profile are often found and wider, but I am not sure if it improves driving impressions, and in many cases it can worsen them. The other work that has been done is a decrease in the front suspension. It has been raised to the American market to meet American regulations, which unfortunately makes many European cars look strange and also adversely affect the lead. The bumpers returned to the original European specification. The front direction indicators from the American specification were replaced with original (they were difficult to find and expensive, but it succeeded). There are also several other improvements, such as lighter and balanced aluminum flywheel and Bilstein shock absorbers. The virgin has also been renovated. The rugs were in excellent condition, but I replaced the tobacco head. The plastic upholstery was replaced with leather upholstery in the same navy blue, in Java Car Design near Włocławek. The dashboard has a typical crack on the right side of the set of indicators that I left. The interior is in good condition, but with a nice patina. When the exhaust system required replacement, I replaced it with a complete stainless steel system of a valued Larini brand. It looks good and gives a pleasant sound. At Classic Auto Clock in Wrocław, a nanny modern quartz mechanism was replaced. All other clocks have also been calibrated. Classic Auto Clock specializes in VDO clocks, which were mounted at most German cars at that time. I also added a side mirror on the passenger side, which significantly improves visibility and increases driving safety. Probably the last modification was to install a USB socket for charging a mobile phone. It fits perfectly to the place where there was a switch of fog lights. Most of the mechanical and maintenance work was performed by Paweł Wielkopolska from MotoMax, who has been taking care of my cars for many years. A fantastic mechanic that I trust. There are several companies specializing in parts and most things are easily available, but some small finishes need to be bought second -hand. I will pass all contacts with the car. Stan can be described as good, not a competition. It is very comfortable to drive every day and you can easily leave it parked on the street. I don't use it in winter because of salt on the road. The body is now ready for minor corrections because it has several bubbles under the varnish. I was tempted to paint it before selling, but I know that freshly painted cars arouse suspicions because they cover possible damage. So I decided that putting it for sale in the existing state would be a fair matter. Although it is a small car to today's standards, it is surprisingly spacious inside. Bauhaus style provides excellent visibility around, which makes it easier to lead. It is fast and can easily deal with modern street traffic. This is a typical four -person car, not 2+2. The trunk is large, it houses a bicycle and wheels separately, and I suppose that also golf sticks. I have total documentation of the improvements- bills, repair details and all subacute details, as well as articles, technical information and books about this BMW model. I also have a Schrick Hotter camshaft, designed for this model that can be mounted or sold.
