Lancia Augusta chassis 3110538 was first registered on the 31st December 1935 and has had five UK keepers. The exterior is finished in light grey with beige cloth to the seats and door cards and the floor is covered by original Lancia rubber floormats. The car has been known in Lancia Motor Club circles since the 1970s and was previously owned by Joh Kerr and then Brinley John Edwards of St. Austell from February 1994. In December 2006 the Augusta was purchased by James Parry of Wrexham, Wales. James’ father was well known in Lancia Augusta circles and produced the UK Lancia Augusta newsletter. During his ownership James carried out substantial works to the car which included rebuilding the gearbox and fitting a new clutch and uprated clutch spring. Modern oil seals were fitted to the rear axle and the water pump, starter and radiator were rebuilt. A stainless steel exhaust system and battery were also installed. The wheels were powder-coated and new set of Michelin tyres fitted along with new flexi brake hoses and new prop-shaft couplings. On the passing of his father James decided to part with his own Augusta and keep his father’s old car as it had great sentimental value, so his own car was sold to the current owner. Today this Augusta is in fine fettle, on the button and is UK registered.
