This Porsche 911 is an exceptionally faithful recreation of the legendary 2. 8 RSR, built with a clear objective: to recreate not only the appearance, but above all the mechanical philosophy and driving character of the original competition cars. Developed over a period of six years, the project was based on a genuine 1973 911 chassis and entrusted to recognised specialists. The engine was enlarged to 2. 8 litres and completely rebuilt by Porsche Centre Liège, incorporating period-correct RSR solutions such as twin-plug ignition, specific lubrication architecture and the appropriate Bosch mechanical injection system. Rather than a cosmetic tribute, this car was conceived as a coherent, functional interpretation of an early-seventies privateer RSR. The chassis, braking system, bodywork and interior have all been prepared in line with period practice, using renowned suppliers and components known from historic racing builds. Every aspect was approached with the same question in mind: “Is this how it would have been done in period?” Behind the wheel, the result is a raw, alive and deeply analogue 911 – light, vocal and mechanical in the way only these early competition cars can be. The car delivers the immediacy, throttle response and visceral feedback that made the 2. 8 RSR such an icon on circuits and rallies across Europe. A comprehensive technical file detailing all RSR-specification components and preparation is available upon request. Private owner car – AD acting as intermediary.
