Exceptional 1962 Rover (P4) 110 Saloon
£1, 000’s spent on high quality restoration.
This is a very Special Car!
From the golden age of Rover engineering, this very striking example remains in beautiful condition. Supplied with very unusual colour combination of Old English White over Storm Grey which looks as good as the day it left the Solihull works.
Produced in 1962 towards the end of production. The P4 110 is considered to be the flagship of all models, with the most powerful straight six cylinder engine producing 123 HP with an overdrive gearbox fitted as standard and servo assisted brakes. Drives superbly, very smooth, taut and rattle free, obviously commensurate with having being meticulously maintained.
The interior is a delight with Perfect woodwork, acres of sumptuous Mulberry Red Leather upholstery. Front seats are the optional individual seat choice for this model instead of the standard bench.
Features the upgraded Rover 6 cyl, 2, 6 litre, sloping head engine with 7 bearing crankshaft and front wheel disc brakes. A pleasure to drive, easily able to keep up with modern traffic thanks to the electric overdrive on top gear.
Subject to much improvement and expenditure over the last few years, with a Bare-Metal repaint and many new parts fitted, including:-
Rear suspension, leaf springs and shock absorbers.
Radiator and engine coolant hoses.
Front brake calipers, Lockheed servo unit, rear brake cyls and shoes.
Metal brake pipes and flexi brake hoses.
Petrol tank and gauge sender unit.
Headlamp units, Voltage Control and Fuse box
Rubber door seals and sill mats
Wing mirrors.
5 brand new radial tyres.
The engine has apparently also been restored by a previous owner, as evidenced by the fastidiously clean engine bay, but we don’t have any invoices on file for this. Needless to say it runs faultlessly with no issues whatsoever.
Comes with V5
Driver’s Handbook and Rover Workshop Manual.
Full Owner’s toolkit, with all original factory items.
Road tools and starting handle.
Period Motorola LW/ MW radio.
LR6 Lucas Spotlights
Purrs like a cat and turns heads wherever she goes. Worthy of inclusion in any collection of British cars, you won’t see another like it! Car needs to be seen and driven to be fully appreciated.

Model Info
The Rover 90 and Rover 105 were replaced by the more powerful 100 announced on 24 October 1959. Its new but similar 2. 6 litres (160 cu in) IOE straight-6 engine was a short-stroke version of the P5 3-Litre unit. The 100 could reach 100 mph (161 km/ h). The Rover 110 was a Rover 100 with a more powerful engine. The interior was luxurious, with wood and leather accents on traditional English car elements like a curved "Shepherds Crook" handbrake lever. A bench front seat or individual front seats could be ordered. A heater was a standard fitting. Like the smaller 80 version, the 100 was fitted with servo-assisted Girling disc brakes at the front, keeping drum brakes at the rear.
After a successful run of some 15 years, the Rover 95 and Rover 110 were eventually replaced by Rover's wholly new Rover 2000 announced on 9 October 1963[26] The last P4, a 2. 6 litre 95 model rolled off the production line in May 1964 and is owned by a UK enthusiast.
Testing the 100 in 1960, The Motor magazine recorded a top speed of 92. 1 miles per hour (148. 2 km/ h), acceleration from 0–60 miles per hour (97 km/ h) of 17. 6 seconds and a fuel consumption of 23. 9 miles per imperial gallon (11. 8 L/ 100 km; 19. 9 mpg?US). The test car cost £1538 including taxes.
