Age: 95 years
Fuel: Petrol

I purchased this car in 2017 and it was imported to France via the UK.
I drove it a little and it seemed OK except for a front light problem. However, after a short lay-up itrefused to run properly!

Since then I have carried out the following work:-
Replaced all wiring to the headlights forward of the junction box on the O/ S front chassis side (the original wiring was still in place!). Some wiring has also been replaced both under the dash and at the rear. The rest is OK, but not as tidy as I would wish.
Fitted new (discreet) rear direction indicators and used the sidelights as indicators at the front. A 'divers helmet' sttop and tail light has also been fitted
Removed, cleaned and painted the petrol tank (1/ 2" of goo in bottom) and also removed and cleaned the. carburettor.
Replaced all the petrol lines (solid drawn copper tube) and moved the filter to ite original position.
Removed, cleaned and replaced the 'Autovac'.
Removing the N/ S rear hub, which had suffered damage at some point. This, together with its aluminium oil thrower, was sent to the UK for repaire. It was refitted using its original 4-pin drive mechanism!
Replaced the 'incorrect' bonnet fitted with a 'correc' one which I made from the original bonnet sides (the original was with the car) and splitting the single-piece top that was fitted using the original hinge. This has been painted in 2-pack to match the body colour.
Removing, repairing and repainting in cellulouse paint the wings and chassis skirts.
I had a new exhaust made in the UK, to the correct pattern and this has been fitted.
The exhhaust manifold required some repair as it was fractured on a flange. Both it and the inlet manifold were refitted with new copper composite gaskets.
Replacing the running board rubber and generally tidying the running boards.
Replaced the spare tyre and threer inner tubes.
Put 'Hidem' beading round the doors to improve their appearance. The door cards are the originals.
I have replaced any 'incorrect' pattern fixings with correct ones wherever possible.

As the previous (Australian) owner purchased the car in the late 1960's and , though some 'restoration' work was carried out it had ceased by around 1972, it then sat unused in his garage until 2016, So the car is very original and much as you would have found it some 50 years ago. However, it was repainted and the seats were reupholstered just prior to it being sold.
As far as I can tell it still has its original front brake cables and rear brake linings. I also doubt if the engine has had more than a valve re-grind and the head gasket replaced. When I removed the exhaust manifold it was obvious the gaskets had been on the car a very long time!

I have taken the car out on test and it is running well with no fuel supply or ignition problems. There are no leaks discernable in the exhaust system or in the radiator (untouched from original as far as I can tell). The steering and brakes are as they should be.
The car has a full set of 'new, restored' (unused since the 1970's) side screens.

I would class the car as a '10 foot car and scruffy/ original'!
I have UK import/ customs papers and a French registration. So OK for both the UK and EU.
There are a some spares to go with the car, including a new 'copper/(non!) asbestos' head and manifold gasket set, switchpanel and hub puller (used once). Also a handbook and manual.
