'Little Satan' is a unique Special that comprises a professionally constructed bespoke alloy body clothing thoroughly refurbished mechanicals. The cable brakes have been retained, but its many new or replacement parts include: wiring harness, electric water pump, spin-off oil filter, Varley racing battery, three gallon alloy fuel tank, custom Hayward & Scott four-branch stainless inlet and exhaust system, and twin SU carburettors overhauled and supplied by Burlen. The 750cc engine was sourced and refurbished by Don Rawson, and features a cast-iron flat head on an alloy block, and drives through a four-speed manual gearbox to a shortened propshaft. The suspension has been lowered and the little Austin nowadays rides on refurbished 17'' wire wheels shod with fresh radial tyres. This charming road registered Special is being offered due to the vendor's change of plans and is eligible for hillclimbs, autotests and sprints, plus the 750 Motor Club's race series. The Vintage Sports Car Club have accepted some long chassis Austin 7 Specials for competition usage and 'Little Satan' may potentially be eligible to run in their events too if suitably modified. This car has a top speed of 66mph in its current set up and has been run successfully on many winter rallies. This is advertised at a significantly lower build cost.
