Jeep CJ-5 1972. Original AMC 304 (5.0 l) V8 engine from the vin - the only V8 in the CJ and Wrangler until the Wrangler 392. The engine was swapped to the AMC 360 (5.9 l) - visually and technically identical, only larger capacity. Indistinguishable visually, only by the inscription on the block at the bottom. Power of the stock engine: 175 HP, approximately 400 NM torque. In such a light car you can feel a lot of power. I imported it from the USA, undamaged. From California, no rust. Very decent paint and very nice color (the car previously belonged to a paint shop in CA). In the USA, the exhaust was also made with a Magnaflow muffler. Runs great. Suspension lift 2.5 inches. 31-inch AT wheels, a lot of tread, they ride well. Dana 44 and Dana 30 axles - the V8 version had the strongest axles and drive system. Dana 20 reducer. BorgWarner T15 gearbox. The heating works: DJeep is "undertaken". This is not a dead body that just rolled off the tow truck. Registered as a monument, insurance paid until May 2027. Work done. - Completed electrical work: new rear light harness and towbar, new electrical socket for the towbar, refreshed electrics under the dashboard, fuel and temperature gauges working, all lights working - New horn + electrics for it - Carburetor regeneration, new gaskets, conversion of choke to electric, everything adjusted - New mechanical fuel pump + electric (currently only electric connected for convenience) + all new fuel lines (tank checked with an endoscope - clean) - New Skyjacker shock absorbers with increased travel for the lift (the rear ones have not yet been installed because the current ones are functional, but the new ones are waiting in the box), front ones installed - New tie rods and pins (everything from the transmission to the steering knuckles), the transmission was also replaced in the USA so there are virtually no play on the steering wheel - New ignition cables + spark plugs - New Varta 70Ah battery - New alternator voltage regulator - New radiator cap (the radiator looks like it was recently replaced) - Replaced stub pins, suspension completely free of play - New side mirrors - New power steering cable - Disassembly and cleaning of the speedometer and odometer - the cable needs to be dealt with because it is probably too long and does not count the kilometers (by turning the odometer with your hand) works).- Vacuum removed, ecology disconnected (but everything is in place and can be reconnected).- New heater- Changed oil (with ZDDP, Millers Classic) + filter- New starter relayJeep "for driving". The brakes are functional. The reducer is operational. The hub clutches are functional - very nice and strong - Selectra. Please take a look.
